Porth Llechog – Bull Bay

Porth Llechog – Bull Bay Sea Swim

Porth Llechog – the Welsh name for sheltered bay, is home to a charming little village and bay. This village is also known as Bull Bay, situated on the northern coast of Anglesey, overlooking the Irish Sea.

The swim will take you from the shelter of Bull Bay, around the rugged coast, with caves and treasured rock formations. Past spectacular sea caves, visible only from the sparkling waters of the Irish Sea, to the breath taking views at the mouth of Traeth Porth Wen Bay.

Here your eyes will gaze upon ruins nestled within the landscape of lush grasses and green foliage of a time once forgotten. Swimming into the bay for a well earned rest, you will be able to marvel at what was once a grand Victorian Brickworks factory abandoned in 1949, making this a rare historical location to visit only accessible by foot or sea.
